  • Where are you located?
    We are located at 5800 Auburn Blvd in Charmichael between Manzanita and Garfield.
  • What is the sizing of miltiary clothing?
    Here is a basic sizing chart to match waist and inseam to the sizes small, medium, large, and extra large. The military inseam length is short, regular, and long.
  • How do I find service records or a DD-214 for a friend or familiy member?
    Trying to located military records for a loved one can be a daunting task. The US National Archives maintains a website called the National Personnel Records Center. Here military and civilian records from World War 1 to the present can be accessed. There is a guided process that will help family and friends find documents for personal or historical reference. These include the Report of Separation form (DD214).
  • How do I find the medals or ribbons awarded to a veteran?
    All service members who have been in the military are given a Report of Separation document, commonly known as a DD-214. This document has the basic information regarding the service history as well as the list of awards bestowed upon the service member. If you have the DD-214 you can purchase reproductions of the ribbons and medals from us at our Sacramento location. For veterans, replacement medals are free from the National Personnel Records Center. Next of kin and cvilians can request documents and medals for a fee as well.
  • How do I have an item identified?
    We have two resident surplus specialists here at Action Military Surplus, both with many years in the industry. You can call us at 916-332-5000 and setup a time to bring the item by our Sacramento store. If you are not in the area, we would be happy to to try and assist. You can make an account with our site and post to our forum under the Identify Items thread. Please inculde mulitple pictures and historical providance you have.
